I LOCAL NBWb I The Japs of the town celebra ted the anniversary of the Mi kado’s birth last Saturday night with tire works. The finest of Bishop’s candies a Keeler’s drug store Mrs. A. W. Galpin and child ren left for their home in Phoe nix, after a three months’ visit with her parents, today. Keeler, the druggist, sells the best fancy stationery in town. Andy Montano and Miss Lola Chavez were married at the Ca tholic Church last Saturday morning. Both parties are well known here. A grand wedding ball was given at the Opera House in the evening. Keeler, the druggist, carries the best cigars in Winslow. C. H. Brownell, who has been cashier in the local depot for some time, has been transferred to Holbrook as agent, succeed ing W. H. Daum, who goes to Seligman, Mr. Oleson has tak en the cashier’s position here. Jack McNumice was thrown through one of the Krentz Meat Market windows last Friday evening and received severe cuts about his left wrist and head. At the time of the acci dent he was rjding a run away horse. H. J. Peterson resigned his position as principal of the lo cal schools, and left Sunday for his home in Randall. lowa. He was succeeded by A. R. Mize, of Byron. 111., who comes well recommended. Mr. Peterson bad numerous friends who re- gretted his leaving. Bilious Attack Quickly Cured.
