sum of $350 with $17.98 interest
thereon to date of judgment, to
gether with interest on the prin
cipal sum from the date of judg
ment until paid, and attorney
fees in the sum of $36.00, and
the further sum of $23.15, costs,
on which judgment the sum of

AMENDMENT
To Articles of Incorporation of The
Navajo-Apache Bank & Trust
Company
At a meeting of the stockholders of
Navajo-Apache Bank & Trust Com
pany, held at its principal place of
business in the Town of Winslow,
County of Navajo, State of Arizona,
on the 25th day of September 1915,
thirty days notice in writing having
been given the Stockholders of such
meeting, the following amendments
to the Articles of Incorporation of said
Navajo-Apache Bank & Trust Com
pany were offered and considered and
upon motion the motion was carried
by majority of the Stockholders own
ing and holding a majority of the
issued and outstanding shares of the
stock of such Navajo-Apache Bank &
Trust Company, to-wit:
ARTICLE I.
The name of this corporation shall
be the “NAVAJO-APACHE BANK &
TRUST C 0.,” and its principal place
of business shall be Winslow, Navajo
County, State of Arizona, with
branches at such place or places with
in said State of Arizona a.s the Board
of Directors may fix from time to
time.
ARTICLE 11.
The general nature of the business
proposed to be transacted by this cor
poration is, in and by its corporate
name to take, receive and hold, and
reconvey, and dispose of any effects
and property, both real and personal
which ma.y be granted, committed
transferred or conveyed to it, with it
consent, upon any terms, or upon anj
trust or trusts whatsoever at any time
or times, by any person or persons,
including married women or minors
body or bodies corporate, or by anj
court of record. To administer, fulfil
and discharge the duties of such truss
or trusts, for such remuneration at
may be agreed upon. To act generally
as agents or attorneys for the tran
saction of business, the management
of estates, the collection of rents, in
terest, dividends, mortgages, bonds,
bills, notes and securities for money.
To act as agents for the purpose
of issuing, negotiating, registering
transferring or countersigning th(
certificates of stock, bonds or othei
obligations of any corporation, asso
ciation or municipality, and to manage
any sinking fund therefor on such
terms as may be agreed upon; to act
as agent for fire insurance, suretj
and other companies, and generally te
act as agent for any person or corpo
ration in the transaction of any law
ful business.
To accept and to execute the office
of executor, administrator, trustee
receiver or assignee or guardian of anj
minor, incompetent person, lunatic, oi
any person subject to guardianship.
To loan money upon any real estate
and collateral security, and to execute
and issue its notes and debenture:
payable at a future date, and to pledge
its mortgages on real estate and othei
securities therefor. To take and re
ceive from any individual or indivi
duals or corporation, on deposit so;
safe keeping and storage, gold anc
silver plate, jewelry, money, stocks
securities, and other valuable and per
sonal property, and to rent out the use
of safes and other receptacles, upoi
such terms and for such compensatioi
as may be agreed upon. To beeom
surety for administrators, guardians
or other trustee or persons in case,
where, by law or otherwise, one o.
more sureties are required.
To examine titles, and make am
certify abstracts of title, to guar
antee or insure to grantees the
validity of titles in real estate
transfers, at a rate of compensation
and upon such terms and condition:
as may be agreed upon.
To lease, hold and convey all sucl
land and real and personal estate a:
may be necessary to carry on its busi
ness, as well as such real and persona
estate as it may deem necessary tc
acquire in the enforcement or settle
ment of any claims or demands aris
ing out of its business transactions
and to issue and execute in the tran
saction of its business all necessary
receipts, certificates and contract:

of the corporation.
To do any and all acts and thing:
pertaining to or that may be connect
ed with the purpose and objects above
specified, or that may be • necessary
or convenient, or useful to the mail
purpose of the corporation, in carry
ing on a general banking and trust
company business in all its branches
ARTICLE 111.
The amount of the authorized capi
tal stock of this corporation is TWO
HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS
($200,000.00), divided into Two Thous
and (2,000) shares of the par value
of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($100.00) each, all of which shall be
paid in in cash, at not les than pai
value, upon the issuance of said stock
and when so issued shall be fully paid
and non-assessable. The stock of the
corporation which has not been issued
at the date of the making of this
amendment shall only be issued as
hereinbefore provided.
ARTICLE IV.
The officers of this corporation shall
be a President, not less than one nor
more than three vice-presidents, a
Cashier and Secretary, and such other
officers as the board of directors, shall
from time to time determine.
The affairs of this corporation shall
be conducted by a board of directors
consisting of seven (7) members all
of whom shall be stockholders. The
directors shall be elected at the an
nual meeting of the stockholders to
be held on the second Saturday of
June in each year.
The board of directors shall at their
first meeting following the annual
stockholders’ meeting elect a Presi
dent, not less than one nor more than
three vice-presidents, a Cashier and a
Secretary, all of whom shall be stock
holders, and may elect or appoint an
executive committee consisting of
three directors, and such other officers
and agents as they may determine to
be necessary, whose duties shall be
determined by the by-laws.
The board of directors shall have
the power to open or cause to be
opened and maintained one or more
branches, and to appoint such agents
to aid in the management of its busi
ness and in conducting the affairs of
the corporation as they may from
time to time deem advisable and may
zest in such agents such powers as
they may deem expedient.
The remaining directors shall have
the power to fill any vacancies in the
board of directors as may occur until
the next regular annual stockholders’
meeting.
The boai’d of directors shall also
have the power to establish by-laws
and make all rules deemed expedient
for the management of the affairs of
this corporation, and the officers there
of, not inconsistent with the constitu
tion and laws of the United States
and the law's of the State of Arizona.
ARTICLE V.
That the highest amount of indebt
edness to which this corporation shall
subject itself, over and above the
amounts due depositors, is two thirds
as the actual paid in capital of the
corporation. *
ARTICLE VI.
The private property of each and
svery officer and stockholder of this
corporation shall be wdiolly exempt
Tom any and all corporate debts and
liabilities.
ARTICLE VII.
This corporation having commenced
business under the terms of the orig
inal articles of incorporation on the
irst day of July, A. D. 1900, and being
entitled to the laws then in force, to
continue in operation for twenty-five
/ears from said date, to-wit: on June
10th, 1925, this amendment shall not
letract from the continuation of the
corporation to do business under said
iriginal articles of incorporation, and
s only intended to extend and enlarge
ipon the same and all rights a.nd pri
nleges accruing to said corporation
-o and by virtue of the oi-iginal arti
cles of incorporation are hereby re
served to this corporation.
