It is our hope that the day finds you truly happy, joyous and grateful for Santa’s largesse. 150 Couples At Annual Junior Prom The Nogales High School Junior Class held their annual Junior Promenade at the Montezuma Ball rdom Saturday night. A Tucson orchestra furnished the music for the affair and dancing was enjoyed by some 150 couples from 9 p.m. till 1 a.m. The ballroom was beautifully decorated in red and green crepe paper streamers, evergreen bows, and mistletoe. The highlight of the evening was the coronation of the King and Queen—Gaston Bachelier and Miss Harriette Capin—and their court attendants. Crown bearers were Diane Capin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Cap in; and Johnny Elias, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Elias. Chaperones for the affair were Mayor and Mrs. James V. Robins, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Pottinger, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Stiles, Mr. and Mrs. John i Herrera, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Jack Ryland Weds In Tucson Jack Ryland, who has been man aging the Nogales stockyards for Howell Manning and the late Bud Parker for the past five years, was married at 7 p.m., Saturday in the Congregational Church at Tucson to Miss Margaret Haston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Haston of Tucson. Mr. and Mrs. Ryland will make their home at 361 Walnut street. They arrived here Sunday. ********* ! ; Mr. Gene Hammond arrived Sun day from Wichita, Kansas, to join his wife and young daughter, Linda, for Christmas. They are house guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Karns. ********* Miss Lillie Norlin, consultant in the child welfare division of the State Welfare department, spent the week-end in Nogales, as a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Miller. She de-: parted for her home in Phoenix Monday afternoon. Miss Virginia Ann Robins and Francis Duffy of Phoenix will spend Christmas with Mayor and Mrs. James Robins and son, Jim. Mrs. Max Arnold motored to Tuc son Saturday and on returning to Nogales was accompanied by Miss Audely Holm who is to spend the holidays in Nogales. ********* Mr .and Mrs. Clell Schrader and daughter Shirley motored to Tucson Friday. Hf Game Dinner In Honor Os Miss Norlin As a courtesy to Miss Lillie Nor lin, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Miller were hosts at a delightful game dinner Saturday evening at their home on Potrero avenue. The rooms were decorated with evergreens and a lighted tree, and tall red tapers centered the tables, where covers were laid for Miss Lillie Norlin, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wise, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Edmonson, Searle Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Miller. Conversation and Christmas carols were enjoyed after dinner. ********* Invitations To Be Issued For New Year Eve Party Invitations are being issued this week by Mr. and Mrs. William Bea tus for a New Year Eve party to be held at the Montezuma Ballroom. Johnson and children Cheryl and Linda, of Mesa, and Louis Diehl of Arizona State College at Tempe, arrived Sunday to spend the holidays with Mrs. Johnson’s and Mr. Diehl’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lou Diehl. Birthday Party In Honor Os Patricia Koehne Mrs. R. L. Sunderman was hostess at a delightful birthday party Fri day evening at her Morley avenue home in honor of her sister, Miss Patricia Koehne. The living room was brightened with Christmas wreaths, holly, and numerous Santa Claus candles, in keeping with the Christmas spirit. The cutting of the birthday cake by Miss Koehne was the highlight of the evening. The cake was trim med in holly and was covered with red and green frosting. An evening of dancing and games was enjoyed by the group and prize winners in the games were Miss Marjorie Paradis and Efrain Pe queros. Guests included Misses Marjorie Paradis, Betty Spohn, Shirley Hess ler, Harriette Capin, Lorraine Kar am, Evelyn Spiers, Charlotte Woods, Mary Frances Stevens, Vivian Meadows; Messrs. Egbert Firkins, Bobby Richards, Harry O’Hagin, Ernest Valencia, Lee White, John Logan, and Efrain Pequeros. Mrs. Mary Attwood and Mrs. Myra Koehne assisted the hostess in serv ing the refreshments. ********* SPENDING CHRISTMAS AT KIBBE HOME Mr. and Mrs. W. C.
