Mrs. Weittenbach died last week Thursday. She has been an invalid for many years. She came here from Switzerland in 1SIM) and leaves a fam ily of nice, children all grown up and several Uters and brothers In this country and Switzerland. She was a member of the M. E. church and died a faithful Christian. The funeral was held at the church last Sunday and was very largely attended. A tine sermon in both German and Eng lish was delivered by Rev. Majjdanze of Lowell. Thomas Lally. an old pioneer of this place, died la9t week Tuesday, after a long illne&s. Funeral was held last Saturday morning at the Catholic church at Parnell and Inter ment in the cemetery there. x Rev. L. Stimfon is sick with typhoid pneumonia, under care of Dr. Tows ley of Lowell. Deceased was a former resident of this place, where he had many friends that will sym pathize with the widow and son. Frank Joslin . and wife of Smyrna spent Sunday at Frank Davis'. Although a severe blizzard was rag ing last Thursday, several from this place attended the Friendship club dinner at Srmrna. Those who at tended were Peier Kohn and wife, Walter White and wife, George Kel logg and wife and F. J. Richmond and wife. Mrs. Jennie Chatterdon of Grand Rapids spent Sunday night at Walter White's. Jacob Goble and wife, who went to Grand Ilapids several weeks ago for the winter, are returning home and a family by the name of Lake is to live in the house to dare for them. Mrs. Goble is very feeble but Mr. Goble is quite smart for his age. Mrs. Weittenbach, who was burled Sunday, was left a widow In Switzer land with nine children, some quite small.
