Cook by said Leonard F. Kingsley for $800. The

contracts, a part of which have been paid and
the contacts assigned to purchasers.

length of this drain Is 135.68 chains, or one mile
and 223.18 rods. Stakes are set 8 rods apart
and numbered from the lower end up as shown
by the grade and profile of this drain herewith
attached and returned, and made a part of the
The width of the .bottom is to be four feet
from the lower end up to the south line of the
said Detroit A Milwaukee Railroad, and to
stake No. 18, a distance of 152 rods. From said
stake 18, the drain is to be 8 feet wide on the
bottom up to the north and south quarter line
of said section 23, and to stake No. 30, a distance
of 144 rods. The drain is to be 2 feet wide on
the bottom from said stake 86. up to stake No.
67, which is the upper end of the drain, a dis
tance of 246.1S rods. There Is an extra stake
marked 14U on said Chlpman street, which has
been taken in to count, but adds one stake to
the whole number of stakes as shown by the
grade hereto attached.
The width of top and depth of the drain Is
shown at each stake by said grade, which Is
made apart of the survey records. The drain
is to have a slope of one foot on each side to
each foot raise the entire length. A strip of
land (15) fifteen feet wide on each side of the
center or survey line will be required for the
drain and to deposit the excavoted earth upon.

Said job will be let by sections. The section
at the outlet of the drain will be let first, and
the remaining sections in their order up stream,
In accordance with the.diagram now on file with
the other papers pertaining to said drain, in
the office of the County Drain Commissioner, to
which reference may be bad by all parties inter
ested, and bids will be made and received ac
cordingly. Contracts will be made with the
lowest responsible bidder giving adequate se
curity for the performance of the work, in a
sum then and there to be fixed by me, reserving
to myself the right to reject any and all bids.
The date for the completion of such contract,
and the terms of the payment therefor, shall
be announced at the time and place of letting.
All contractors will be required to furnish good
and responsible bondsmen on the day of sale.
Notice Is further hereby given, that at the
time and place of said letting, or at such other
time and place thereafter to which I, the Drain
Commissioner aforesaid, may adjourn the same,
the assessment for benefits and the lands com
prised within the "Chlpman Drain Special As
sessment District," will be subject to review.
