Mrs. Balding viaittsl relatives in Arl ington a tew days during the week. '.V. B. Smith and family of Ferry Can yon returned from Portland on Monday evening lr. Wood is attending the convention of the American Medical Association in Portland. Miss Skene, of .the Condon Millinery made a business trip to Portland the first of the week. R. E. Summers and wife and Miss Maggie Kussel returned from Portland the first of the week. Chas. Jaynes, a well-known sheepman formerly of this place, but now of the Malheur country, was here this week. VY. S. Maple, one of Condon's gnod natured waster mechanics, is at Port land this week attending the bin show. Jim Cooke is home again after making a tour of Washington and a visit at the Lewis and Clark Fair. Mrs. C. S. Mustard, of Phoenix, Ari zona, sister of Mrs. Tom Price, arrived in Condon last week and will remain during the Summer. Mrs. D. Tierney and children came ont from Arlington Saturday and spent Sunday in Condon, visiting Mr. Tlernev, station agnt at this place. Jim Rogers of Lost Valley was a county seat visitor trie first ot the' week, lie was accompanied bv his nieces, Misses Byrl and Nellie Springslon. 1 Miss Abbie Darling, who has len at tending school at Monmouth, Oregon, for th uast two years, arrived home Monday evening and will spend her vacat.oii visiting relatives and friends.
