The Deraocratio Conyontion for the 2d Representative District, was or ganizod by looting David Sproul, of 13urch Run, Chairman and Col. B. M. Thompson of East Saginaw, Secretary- On motion, the chair appointed a committee of threo on credentials, con sisting of Clark Curtis, John M. llu bingor, John M. Shafor. The committoo reported a full dele gation from the several towns of the District, giving tho names of the sev eral delegates. The report of the oommitteo was accepted andadopted. A motion was made and carriod, that tho convention proceed to ballot for a enndidato for representative. James L.JKctchum suggested the name of Col. Geo. A. Flanders of East Sag. inuw. A motion was then made to . reconsider the vote by which the con vention had decided to ballot for a candidate. Motion to reconsider was carried, and the original motion lost. Mr. Wm. Ward, of East Saginaw moved that Col. Geo. A. Flandors bo declared the unanimous choice of this convention for. candidate for State Representative from this District. Motion carried without a dissonting voice. On motion, the chair 'appointed the follewing executive tommittoe : John M. llubingor, Ho sea Tratt, Clark Curtis. Tho entries that havo been mado thus far, excood tho most sanguine expectations of all. Upwards of six hundred entries were made yesterday, and one hundred and fifty family tickets sold. Floral Hall has becomo the chief point of attrac tion. It has already the appearance of a Grand Bazar. The agricultural and manufacturing departments also present a very attractive appearance. The show of horses was moderate, although there have been some good entries mado in this direction. There wore also some very good entries in tho cattle lino. Tho vegetables wero j hugo, and plainly demonstrates that Saginaw County cannot bo beat, on beets, &c. Tukatbe. Ilealy's Star Troupo will appear but threo more nights in Sagi naw, the presont season. To-night, by request, will be presented the Stran ger." Tho entertainment to conclude with tho ever laughablo farce entitled tho " Ticket of Leavo Man."
