Therefore be it rewolved, that this
Council appeal U> the* Honorable Loren
D. Dk*kinson. Governor of the State
of Michigan, the State Welfare Com
mission, the Honorable Senator Stan
ley Nowak, and our Honorable State
Representative Fred Gartner to take
such steps as may tie deemed neces
sary by the State to prevent a decrease
at the welfare appropriation, permit
ting these welfare recipients to receive
the firmer allowance as provided until
such time when the different govern
ment agencies and manufacturers as
weH as other employers will be in a
position to employ these ’welfare re
cipients.
Be It further resolved, that the City
Clerk be instructed to write appropri
ate letters to the Governor, one Jtate
Senator and oar State RepremUfctlre
from our respective districts advising
