Resolved by the City Council of the City of Wyandotte, whereas, informa tion has been submitted to the Council of the City of Wyandotte, that the State Department <f Welfare will cut out its share of the appropriation for Welfare recipients tbrongliout the State, and Whereas, the City of Wyandotte has a large number of such welfare recipi ents, and Whertyts, the fuuds for welfare pur poses of the City of Wyandotte are depleted, and WhefosM, these welfare recipient* 111 rough necessity, are dependent u]kmi the welfare dole fur a bare and meager existence, and • Whereat*, stub a cut to the premuit allowance woujfl. pku*e these welfare recipients ou a practically starvation dole, and Whereas, these welfare recipients are very eager to Obtain employment but in spite of their sincere and con tinuous efforts,'are unable to receive such employment and necessarily must depend upon public welfare. Therefore be it rewolved, that this Council appeal U> the* Honorable Loren D. Dk*kinson. Governor of the State of Michigan, the State Welfare Com mission, the Honorable Senator Stan ley Nowak, and our Honorable State Representative Fred Gartner to take such steps as may tie deemed neces sary by the State to prevent a decrease at the welfare appropriation, permit ting these welfare recipients to receive the firmer allowance as provided until such time when the different govern ment agencies and manufacturers as weH as other employers will be in a position to employ these ’welfare re cipients.
