Jr. AWVS Girls Receive Caps Graduates of the Wyandotte Jr. AWVS hospital service class received their caps last Thursday at cere monies in the hospital Nurses’ home. The Rev. Edward Wilcox was the guest speaker of the evening. His topic was “Angels in White.” Mrs. C. H. Pill, director of the Wyan dotte chapter of Jr. AWVS, and Miss L. Anderson, director of nurses, also addressed the girls. Miss Helen Pier, director and sup ervisor of auxiliary of the Wyan dotte hospital, has been the instruc tor for the girls’ class. Refreshment* were served by for mer graduates following the com mencement exercises. Anthony Truskowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Trus kowski, 1703 Fourth street, were united in marriage October 28, at a solemn High Mass at Bt. Eliza beth church. White mums find palms decorated the church for the ceremony which was performed by the Rev. Leo Zindler. The bride wore a colonial gown of Skinner satin with a sweetheart neckline edged in lace and a veil. She carried white roses and lilly of the valley Matron of honor was Mrs. Delores Chevierut, sister of the bride who wore white chiffon with a white bonnet. Her flowers were red roses. The bridesmaids were Helen Bylski, Detroit, and Pauline Truskowski, sister of the bridegroom. They wore blue velvet and net dresses and blue feathers in their hair. They carried red roses. Best man was Pfc. A1 Truskow ski, Camp Chaffee, Arkansas, broth er of the bridegroom, and Pfc. Ted Gabriel assisted in seating the guests. Following the Nuptial Mass, a wedding breakfast was served to 100 persons at the Polish Citizens Club followed by a reception at the club attended by 300 guests. Both Pfc. Truskowski and Pfc. Gabriel have returned from 32 months overseas service. Is Recent Bride Os Serviceman Mr and Mrs. Gregory Degtiarick of 431 Forest street, announce the marriage of their daughter, Joseph ine, Y 3-c WAVES, to Edward Tess, AMM 3-c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ru dolph Tess of Bt. Joseph, Michigan. The wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bari Sample in Washington, D. C., on Monday, October 30. The couple were at tended by Juanita Custer and Lt. Donald Gunter of Washington. Both Mr. and Mrs. Tess were in uniform for the ceremony. A wedding dinner was held at the bride's home Saturday and was attended by members of the imme diate family. A dinner was also given at Mr. Tefs’ home in St. Jos eph where they spent a few days. The groom is stationed at the U. S. Naval Air Station. Grosse lie. Mrs. Tess is now based at Wash ington. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dominski, 1771 Sycamore street, are the par ents of a son, Robert Mitchell, born Thursday, November 2, at Wyan dotte General hospital. Mrs. Dom inski is the former Marion Geniac.
