D.C. 2932 Biddle Avenue PHONE 1510-J Office 1510-W Residence COLITIS Perhaps one of the most common bowel ailments known today is colitis. Few indeed realize that they are suffering from colitis un til the weakness has de veloped to a very destruc tive degree. The common tendency is to blame the stomach-4Uor the symptoms during the acute stage of colitis. In a majority of cases examined the disease is already in the chronic stage. X-ray studies show the colon to be in a con tracted condition. Alternate diarrhea and constipation and the discharge of mucus and false membrane are characteristic. Gas pressures under the heart and right upper abdomen cause fre quent distress and often dis turb the stomach function so that attention is directed more to the stomach and heart than to the bowels. Colitis is the result of nerve incoordination to the colon and responds readily to Chiropractic when the nor mal supply Is restored to the weakened parts.
