Herman J. Eichenhofer, council candidate, was high man in Mon day’ voting, polling 560 votes. Oth ers elected were Lloyd S. Currey, 544; Chestley Laßeau, incumbent, 547. Harry D. Badger, Jr., candi date on the citizen’s ticket and a newcomer to Trenton politics, was defeated. New council members will take office April 1. at which time terms of Aaron Simmons and Charles | Sash will expire. A total of 830 ballots were cast in the day’s election. According to Fred Pomeraning, village clerk, precinct No. 5 voted down the park proposal 159 against 87; while precinct No. 4 favored the issue three to one. The park property in question is a 56 acre tract running between Helen avenue and King road and from West Jefferson avenue to the rner channel, giving the property a half-mile of water frontage. Lutz, Hahn Trenton Dodge Auto Agents Dick Lutz and Joe Hann, both returned World War II veterans and well-known in Detroit sport circles, have purchased the build ing at 2100 West Jefferson, Tren ton, occupied the pact several vears by Gorno Brothers and will have the Dodge-Plymouth agency and operate a service station. • Gcrno Brothers are expected to move to their new location on West Jefferson at Truax within the next ten clays. Lutz and Hahn spent the past two years in the South Pacific. Approximately 50 all-letter men ol Wayne University, McKensie club members, are participating. Theme of the performance is the ’’Tarter and Barter” revue. The men will be attired in women’s costumes. Former H y mulatto % Hospital Resident Physician Dead Major Willard E. Fischer, 35, former resident physician at Wyan dotte General hospital, died a* his home, 32257 Oscoda court, Wayne. Born September 19. 1910 in Han cock, N. Y.. lie graduated from the Wayne college of medicine in 1936 where he was a member of Phi Rho Sigma medical fraternity. Major Fischer entered the Army Air Force, September 1942 and re ceived his training as a flight sur gean at Randolph field, Texas. He was sent overseas February 1944 and served with the Ninth AAF. He received the distinguished unit ci tation, ETO ribbon with four battle stars and the Purple Heart for wounds received in Germany. Returning to the State in April, he was stationed at Percy Jones hospital center until his discharge from the service on December 13. Military' services were held Sat urday at Spaulding and sons fun eral home, Royal Oak. Burial was at Evergreen cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Bar bara J.; his father, Frederick C., a son, Conrad J., Ferndale; broth ers, Frederick C. and Walter G. Ferndale, and Mrs. Elsie K. Playing the part of Dale Ogden, a beautiful young girl o: twenty-five, will be Nancy Stultz and Virginia Albright. Clara Sell and Delores Donlon will portray Lizzie Allen, an elderly maid.
