(Photo Club)—Blue Room 7:30 Tuesday Movies for boys and girls 4:15 History for the local council of Knights of Columbus was made, on March 3 when a class of eighty candidates, composed mostly of ex servicemen, was initiated into the three degrees in the Knights of Columbus. This is the largest class of can didates in the annals of the coun cil to receive knighthood at one time. The first and second degrees were conferred by officers and members of the Wyandotte coun cil, the third degree by District Deputy George Robel and his staff o; Dearborn. State Deputy Barrett of Michi gan was a spectator at the exempli lication of the three degrees and complimented the council on the splendid manner in which they were going forward In Columbism in Wyandotte. Following the degree work a ban quet was served by the ladies of the Daughters of Isabella in the dining hall of St. Patrick’s school. A taception for all new members, held in the clubrooms, was the finale. Sons Match Skill With Sons-in-Law in Bowling Party Sons and sons-in-law of Stephen Lybik pitted their bowling skill against each other in competition for a S2O prize offered by Mr. Lybik for the best bowlers. The bowling party was a farewell gesture for ; Pfc. Arthur Lybik, who re-enlisted !in the Army and left March 11 for Camp Pickett, Va. Arthur, a veteran of three years service, signed up for an additional year’s duty. Bowling on the winning team of sons-in-law were Joe Gajewski, Fred Moss, Martin Drzonek and Oscar Schroeder who rolled a to tal of 1,986 to defeat the Lybik sons with their 1.965 points. Miller, pastor-elect of the new Lutheran Mission chapel at the corner of Clark and Fort which was opened for services on February 24, will be ordained and installed in a 7:30 p.m. service Sun day at the chapel. Mr. Miller will be ordained by the Rev. C. J. Krahnke, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, and the ordination sermon will be preached by the Rev. Herbert Fehner of Monroe. The liturgist will be the Rev. Robert Bannon of Dearborn's Re deemer Lutheran church. Fort street chapel was dedicated in special services Sunday after noon during which the sacred ves sels, Bibles, candles and cross were carried into the church by a group of pastors and placed in their proper positions. Obituary RICHARD S. BAUMEISTER Richard Stephen Baumeister, 59, 2020 Biddle, died at his home Mon day following a lengthy illness. Bom in Sanilac county, Septem ber 5, 1886, he had lived in Down Rtver for the past 19 years. At the time of his death he was employed as a millwright at the Great Lakes Steel manufacturing company. Mr. Baumeister was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church. Rites were held from the H. F. Thon company funeral home at 2 pan. this afternoon and at 2:30 pm. from the Trinity Lutheran church. The Rev. C. J. Krahnke officiated and burial was in Wood mere cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Anna; son, Earl; sisters, Mrs. Gus Seiler, Mrs. John Molloy, Mrs. Nora Morgan roth, all of Deckerville, Mich.; brothers, George, Joseph, Edwin of Deckerville.
