AND A Primary Election U hereby ordered to be held at each voting precir t in Hancock County Tenn.,. on Saturday December the 10th, 1921, for the pur pose of nominating candidate for tho various offices of the count;, to be voted for in the one general Election to be held in August 1822. 2. Said Primary Election shall be opened at 9 o'clock A. M. and closed tt four o'clock P. ill.. i If any officer of the primary fails to serve, the remaining officers willing to serve shall fill the vacancy on the morning ef the Election. 4, All the Republicans recognized as such in the precint where the votes are to be cast, shall be permitted to vote in said Election,, but no otben. No person will not be allowed to vote if challenged, will not pledge himself, to rote for and support the successful candidates, and ail persons voting there in shall be deemed to have pledged ' thtir vote foe the nominee, and all vot ers must vote in his precint. 5. All youn republicans who will be ef age and qualified to vote at the August Election in 1922, shall be quail tied to vote in said Election and in case the officers should be in doubt about ms to the right of any person to ote, . such person shall be sworn and examin ed as to his right to vote and bystand ers shall challenge tfie right of the per son to vote. . President Hardin yesterday signed the Federal Aid ltoad till pasd.d afewdavs ago appropri ating $75,000 000 for road con struction and maintenance. The bill also included the provision! of a b'll intruduced by Congress man Reece, early in the session, authorizing the War Department to turn over all surplus war ma terial suitable for road building to the department of agriculture for thct purpose. This material amounts to several million doll ars in value. Rcpicsenative Reece who is a member oL the committeo on roads which framed and reported the measura said that while the law was not all that could be hop ed for, it wasa splendid piece of legislation. This law, he said, will make available for highway ; construction, in the next seven' or eight months, in co-operation with the states more than $160 000,000, and will provide employ ment for over 275 000 men there by prevent the unemployment situation from becoming more serious, . Itisproviped that road built by federal aid must bo kept con stantly in good condition. The Department of Agriculture is em powered to see that this is done. Marien, joined ft with the Marien boys in the ahooting and was shot in the fice with a shotcun loaded with small aiaed shot which shot prov ed not serious, and during the week Ardill Collins and his fami ly moved into the house with his n-in-law. Ardill says that it was through mercy and pitiful beging that they did not kill him, but they took him about 4 or 5 milt s away trom home to the home of the Rhea boya fath er before they turned bjm Joose. They told him that they had shot his boy they never told him that thev had killed him and he did not know that'hc was dead until he returned home late that night No arrests has yet been made, but a reward of $60.00 is now on deposit in the Citizens Bank of Sneedville, for the arrest and delivery of Lee Rhea at Sneed ville, Tenn. , .
