There was a dance in the Cable hall Wcdnesday evening, for tlie benefit of the Athletic association, with music by the Thresher orchestra. The attendance vas quite good. Mrs. Myrtie Clarks returned home Saturday from Charles Hoyt's, where she has been stopping for about two weeks. Mrs. Mary Bunday had the misfor tunc to fall on her front steps Thursday afternoon, and examination proved that the hip bone was broken, fso that she will be confined to her bed for some timo. The Bev. W. J. MacFarlane is able to be out after a long illness with grip, followed by pneumonia, but he is feeling well aguin, although very weak as yet. Mrs. Lawrence and her son, Ber nard, who have been at .1. L. Wat chie's, where the young man was ili, "have gone to the Center to remain until he is fully recovered. Mr. and Mrs. Chester McClary have been in North Hatley, P. Q., to visit relatives. A son was born last vveek to Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Rousseau of Grand Isle, and Mrs. Edith McDowell has gone there to help care for her daugh ter. Franklin Lynch is at home from U. V. M. for tlie Easter vacation, which will continue until Aprii 5. Maurice Burpce, Maurice Carr, George Cus son, and other college students are expected home this week.
