K. Bone, president of the Boneboro Orchard Company and the Central Orchard Co., and a Glacier representative. Moved to speak by the reports of miserably hot weather in the eastern and middle stales, Mr. Hone said : "More people than ever before will besoming into the Northwest and into Hood River Valley during the next year in order to UooVe the climate which they have been enduring in the east for the past few years, t-very year one season or another is the 'worst ever'. Just now they are sweltering in the hottist,'June weather on record, the mild winters and cool summer nights with which we are blessed are becoming well-known in the east and more of the people ofjthat part of the country will come here. "The development and sale of the lands in which 1 am interested is moving along in a satisfactory way, We have about l.iO acres of trees in Boneboro and negotiations are on for nearly a quarter of the Central Vale acreage. Our companies are on the look-out for other desirable and equally well located lands in the valley to whieljwe can swing our future opera tions. Many of the newcomers will want developed properties. Mr. Hone, during his zu years resi dence in the valley, has done much development, and his view is that the scarcer the desirable land in Hood Iiiver valley proper becomes the more valuable it will be, on account of the home value added to the orchard revenues. Over 300 acres of orchard in Hood River have been planted by Mr. Hone mid he also built the East Fork Irrigation system, but according to his plans he still has the big end of his development work to accomplish NO REASON FOR DOUBT. When Hood River Citizens Show the Way. There can be no just reason why anv readerorthis will continue to suffer thetortures of an aching back, the annoyance of urinary disorders, the dangers of serious kidney ills when relief is so near at hand and the most positive proof given that these ills can be cured. Head what a Hood Kiver citizen says: Isaac roru, of Hood Kiver, Oregon, says: the lapse or time since 1 publicly endorsed Ooan s Kidney fills has not changed my opinion of them. I still take this remedy occasionally and'it always benefits me. Lumbago and kidney trouble caused me much suffering and I seemed unable to get relief. Thilpains started in the small of my back and radiated through all parts or my body, and at night was so miserable that I could not get my proper rest. In the morning I was sittf and lame and any attempt to stoop or lift drove mo almost frantic. 1 hud dizzy spells and tired after the least exertion. Doan's Kidney Pills helped me promptly and continued use corrected my trouble." For sale by all dealers. Price 60 cents. FoBter-Milburn Co., Buffalo, New York, sole agents for the United Stales. Kememher the name Donne's and ike no other. Fruit and Old Age. Physiologists claim that growth from infancy to old age is a process of gradual ossification, and that the stiff ness of age is caused by the deposits ofjcaliareous matter or earthy salts. Therefore a diet eontaining a large proportion of tiese salts, food rich in nitrogen, such as the cereals, beans, peas, and meat, increases the natural tendency to ossification, says Health. tor this reason a diet mado up largely of fruit, which contains a minimum amount of his calcareous matter, is scientificlly best adapted to persons in advancing years. " large eaters add to the liability of ossitic deposits from overworking the eliminating organs by an excess of nutritive material until their healthful activity is destroyed, and the whole system suffers in consequence. Old age indicates less food and a maximum amount of fruit as the diet. Plans For The Best Fourth Ever. For those who will not go away to celebrate the 4th: How will this pro gram suit you?
