Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Bragg WTere Wedded in Plain field in 1869 (Continued on page four) Mi-, and Mrs. Alfred L. Bragg cel ebrated their golden wedding, Sat urday at their home on 5 Emerson street, in the house Mr. Bragg built and in which they have lived for the past 45 years. The affair was arranged by their two daughters and was a surprise to Mr. and Mrs. Bragg. A reception was held throughout the afternoon and evening. The many friends and neighbors of this well known couple called to ex tend congratulations. They were the recipients of numerous gifts of gold and silver and flowers from relatives and a purse of .f.r0 in gold from their daughters. Mr. Bragg was born in Thctford, July 10, 1848, and lived until early manhood in Thctford and Fairlec. Ho .' came to St. Johnsbury in 1874 and during his long residence here he has built many private houses and public buildings.
