Since her husband's death she has re mained a widow, living alone and en joying a pension of $12 a month. She had a very quiet, unassuming nature, true as steel in her friendship, faithful and loyal to her religious convictions and duties for which she cheerfully suffered reproach. She was a consist ent and devoted member of the Church of Christ in Yale, and was always ready to give a leason for the hope she had, and often during her last sickness and even in her intervals of conscious ness nearing the end, she expressed her unbounded faith in the ever overshad owing mercy of a living Father, and in the power of Jesus to save. The disease which caused her death was disordered liver, and was of long standing, she having been a sufferer for over eight years. Funeral services were held, at Jirick Chapel, Elder Paton olliciating, his sermon based on the word of Paul, "All things work togeth er for good for those who love the Lord and who are called according to his purpose." Her remains were laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery beside her husband.
