Well-Earned Well-Earned For months Yale readers have seen the constant expression of praise for Doan's Kidney Fills, and read about the good work they have done in this locality. Not another remedy ever produced sucli convincing proof of merit. .leptlia I ucker Handly street, Imlay City, Mich., says: "My kid neys troubled me ever since I was in the army. My back ached ter ribly at times and I often felt like giving up. If I caught the Jeast cold it would settle in my kidneys and at such times the secretions would be highly colored, scalding in passage and too frequent in ac tion, especially at night, greatly disturbing my rest. I procured Doan's Kidney Fill's and before I had taken all of one box I was cured. Our little girl also had a kidney weakness, and the use of this remedy wonderfully benefitted her." ( From statement made Aug. 15K)1.) On October 17, VM, Mr. Tucker said: "Doan's Kidney Fills cured me live years ago and 1 have had no occasion to use them or any other kidney remedy since. I feel it my duty to re-indorse them." For sale bv all dealers. Frice f0c. Foster-Milburn Co., Ruffalo, New York, sole agents for the United States. Remember the name DO AN'S and take no other. rj. POLITICS AND BUSINESS If we had the power to make all bus iness men obey our commands we would say to them: "Wake up and go into politics!" Does that shock you business men a little bit? Don't let it. Just listen open-mindedly for a moment. You are not being invited to destruction. You are invited to self-preservation. You have had lessons enough in the past two or three years.the Lord knows, to direct you into the right road but it is doubtful if you have yet quite learned to apply them. You business nun have fallen into the habit of thinking politics as some thing apart from and foreign to your selves, your business and your interests in th community as something a little off-color. You vote once in a while when the newspapers tell you some "grave moral question" or some "im portant national i-site" is at stake, but you seldom t ike more than a languid interest even then most of the time you turn up your noses at politics as at something unclean, boast your ignor ance of it and smugly regard yourselves as superior persons just because you have "nothing to do with politics." Practically all the evils that afflict the business world today are traceable to your mistake. If politics is unclean, you are to blame for letting it be come unclean. If it harasses and op presses business, you are to blame for letting it do so. You are denounced directly in some quarters for the business men have cor rupted politicians for selfish ends. That is not true of you and it is not fair to you, as a class. Your fault has been the fault of neglect. Kvil consequences have followed as naturally as weeds spring up in the neglected garden. Politics should be as close to you business men, in the mass, as your sev eral business interests are to you in dividually. It touches pratically every phase of your interests, severally and collectively, yet you ignore it. That is bad business. You would not think of filling an ex posed warehouse with valuable and in Uamable goods and then canceling the lire insurance. That is precisely what you do when you ignore politics. American Rusiness Man. They tell me that Jeff Rrown would like awfully well to be state senator from this district, but is afraid of be ing defeated and doesn't know whether or not to enter the race. Jeff would like to convince the people that he is not tied up to the postmaster outfit and finds it hard to do this. He believes, it is said, that without the handicap of the postmaster's support he could be sure of the nomination and election. Port Huron Herald. Should Judge Law become a candidate for the supreme court bench, the announcement will be received by members of the bar all over the state with a feeling of satisfaction. While the city of Port Huron, should Judge Law's candidacy prove success ful would lose a highly esteemed citizen, it would be a source of great pleasure and satisfaction to his fellow citizens to see him elevated to this high and honorable position.
