While Mr. Hemans was satisfying the inner man with one of the Paisley dinners, Charles Hampden kert the crowd, which had gathered when the whistles announced the train's arrival, in good humor by discussing state and national issues and telling stories. He tried to impress upon his hearers the fact that ail those who had voted for The Peerless One had never regretted it. It apixared to most of the crowd that the reason was to be found in the statement that they had had no chance Si yet to regret it. Mr. Hemans was introduced as the next governor of Michigan. Whether this introduction was correct or not will be proven next Tuesday. lie dis cussed state and national issues of im portance. The Yale Citizens Kand was pres ent and enlivened the occasion with several selections. On Tuesday evening last the Demo crats of Yale and vicinity held a rally in Central HalL Klmer K.
