This year the railroads have been
more generous then in the past, and
have granted visitors to the Interna
tional Live Stock Exposition, which
will be held from December 2 to y,
greatly reduced rates.
Through the courtesy of the lines
forming the Central Fassenger Associa
tion, a fare-and a half round trip rate
was granted visitors to this exposition
on thecertilicateplan, from all territory
within its boundaries except" such
points where the regular fair amounts
to less than S1.0U. To secure this rate,
the passenger must inform the agent
that he intends to visit the International
Live stock Exposition, and request a
certificate at the time he purchases his
ticket. These certificates will be is
sued from November 2i)th to December
4th, inclusive, which will be honored
for purchase of return ticket until
The lines forming the South Eastern

The Eastern Canadian Fassenger As

action of the Central, and will grant a
similiar rate from all points ;east of
Advantage should be taken of these
unusually low rates, for you cannot
afford to miss such an opportunity to
visit the World's Createst Live Stock
Show with its magnificent array of pure
bred animals; its splendid educational
exhibits and brilliant evening entertain
ments, where you can see, contending
for final honors the choicest products
of the European markets pitted against
the blue-ribbon winners of this contin

meet and greet the foremost live stock
men of the world, and to attend any of
the thirty or more National Live Stock
Breeders' Conventions that will be held
here during the week of the show,
where the problems of breeding, raising
and feeding will b d trussed, which
should prove of incalculable value to
every stock man and farmer. (Jive your
boys an opportunity to learn the lessons
taught here, and give the good wife a
holiday in the city, where she will find
much of interest, particularly at this

?7J S today's issue falls on Thanksgiving day, is it not it good time
to "talk turkey ?" Owing to our store building being of the
vintage of the late sixties it is nothing like what we would want to
build today. At one time we were, like Dr. Cook, the farthest north
but the advent of the railroad changed the locations of the village and
we are practically now, the farthest south. When our Main street
had the lumber-road kinks out of it we were left one foot ofl the
street, thereby making window changes impossible. Taking it all in
all, we do not consider we have the best location in town.
The other side is Our show room is large and we have a stock of
general merchandise aspecially selected for this community. The
selection is varied and the prices consistent with good business deal
ing. We are members of the Central Delivery and giye you good
delivery service. Our phone number is 01 for your convenience.
Wc arc out for our share of the business, on our merits, and expect
to merit your patronage or we don't get it. Instead of a few trifles
wc arc putting on a contest this week worth your while and there'll
bo something doing every Tuesday at the old store for several weeks
in a special way. If you did not see our advertising relative to this
contest, ask for it or conic in and see the goods which are now on ex
hibition, and we'll explain the contest fully to you. This is one of
our best and most expensive advertising campaigns wc ever put on
and you ought to familarize yourself with it. Any person or society
is eligible to a nomination. Ve again extend you an invitation to call.
