II. Learmont was appointed chair man and E. F. Fead secretary and treasurer. Sub-committees will be appointed and the city of Yale and townships of Brockway and Lynn will be divided into districts and a house to house canvass will be made. The allotment for the 9th dis trict, which comprises the city of Yale has been set at $60,000. This seems like a large amount o be sold in a short time, but if every one puts their shoulders to the wheel, the same will be made up without a question. Buy your liberty bond now. ' The big campaign in this county to sell $1,023,600 worth of the second Liberty Loan bonds will start October 15th. Above we give an outline of the manner in which St. Clair county has been districted showing the apportion ment for each of the eleven dis tricts in the county. It is expected that each and every one of the districts will make good. In making the assess ments, equalized valuations have been taken into consideration. The Port Huron districts assumed an additional $200,000 above its quota. This amount was deducted from other sections where, be cause of summer residents or other reasons they were entitled to special consideration. to Hare are the facts in conection with the second Liberty Loan of $3,000,000,000. 1. Its a loan and not a gift the United States government. 2. It draws four per cent inter est without taxes as long as you live. 3. You can buy a bond on the dollar down, dollar a week plan from any bank. 4. It's the best security in the world. It's like a mortgage on the whole United States. 5, You can leave your bonds with your banker in his safety de posit vault for safe keeping if you so desire. It's a receipt for the money you deposit in the treas ury of the United States. G. If you need money you can borrow on it, at a moment's notice. Ask any banker. 7. If the next bond issue is at a higher rate you can exchange your four'per cent bond for a bond in the new issue at a higher rate. Uncle Sam wants every citizen of St.. Clair county just as he wants every citizen of the United States to buy a Liberty Bond. Un less the wage earners and the farmers and citizens of every class respond to their country's call, the second Liberty Loan will be a failure. No man in the country is more vitally interested in the second Liberty Loan than the farmer. Up on a victorious peace will depend the early return of his boy who has gone to the front and a sure market at fair prices for what the farmer has to sell.
