Apply Sprays For Stickweed Control Farmers who are having trouble with stickweed should take heart. There's a way to control it, say weed specialists at VPI. Spraying stickweed with 2.4-D can be done any time from late June until about time for the flowers to bloom in August. If the spraying is done too soon, some shoots may not have emerged and will not re ceive any spray. The plants, how ever, should be actively growing for best results. Stickweek has relatively broad, light green leaves that are placed opposite on the stalk. It is preva lent on well-drained ridges, as well as in moist places. Details on its control are available from county agents. SWEET CATSUP 14-OZ. BOTTLE SERVE THE BEST BUY AND SAVE WITH THESE LOW PRICES ! !
