The Genito Home Demonstration Club
has a family Christmas party each year and
having; outgrown their homes, the members
hud their covered dish supper in the War
Memorial Building. The ehildren sat at a
separate table and while the benches were a

Surprised Hunter!
Howard Campbell, son of Mr.
and Mrs. R. M. Campbell, was
enjoying rabbit hunting Thurs
day when his dogs ran a rabbit
under a brush pile. He thought
he would help to get it out. and
to his surprise out came a small
buck deer, which he killed and
! brought home. Instead of rab
i bit for the family dinner, it was
venison!

Memorial Service
For Teacher
AMELIA. Dec. 30 — The ele
mentary SCA held their regular
meeting on Dec. 18, with a me
morial service in honor of Mrs.
Anna B. Garnett, one of the 7th
grade teachers who died in
November.
Mrs. Sally Wingo gave .a verse
in her memory and the pupils
who had been in her room
brought out some of the many,
ways she had helped her stu
cie'ts become better citizens.
Mrs. John Duke, county health
nurse, receieved the baskets
which the chldren brought' for
the White Christmas offering to
be distributed to some of the
county's less fortunate people.
The meeting then adjourned.
