W Cocke, superintendent,- the Inmates of the Western Htntn hospital at Hnlfvnr are having a week of Christmas fes tivity such as they havo never ex perienced before. Tho relatives of tho 600 patients will he gratified to know to what extent the officials of the hospital have gone to make the pleasure of the Inmates com plete. Sometime before Christmas Pr. Cooke sent letters to a number of persons ex plaining his plans for entertainment and 'the response was liberal enough to provide for Ihe unfortunates beyond the expectations of those in charge of the arrangement. Kor days every mall brought loads of Christmas boxes and on Christina day hundreds of dollars worth of clothing, tobacco, candy, fruit, nuts and other things were received for the patients. Wednesday night the glfis were placed on a tree and were handed out hy a real Sajita. Clans. The large ainuHenienl hall where the Ire" was placed was decorated with holl, Christmas bells, pots of blooming flow ers, palms and ferns. The patients re ceived from the tree the presents son hy their relatives and friends and the less fortunate' reolvcd boxes from the hospital.
