Commercial Club Must Get Reason For Mail Change Unless it can be inclusively shown ti.at the changing of division head quarters west of Omaha in the rail way mail system wi!l materially bet ter the service, the Omaha Commer cial club is not in favor of the plan, as it will mean the taking of some thirty families oi railway mail clerks out of Omaha. The plan proposes to run the dis tance between Oina'.a and Ugdett in three relays instead of two as at the present time, This would necessitate the moving to Cheyenne of some thirty Omaha families. The Commercial club is in com munication with oenator Hitchcock and Congressman Lobeck in regard to the matter. The club holds in these cominunicaiiiM s that Omaha does not wish to oppose the change merely to hold Omaha people in Omaha, if it can be shown that the change is to better the service. What information the club has at liana, however, does not convince the executive committee that the chanKe will work any im provement i.. general t llicicncy. What the club wants is all the information available about the proposed plan and how it will work out.
