SCHOOL NOTES The program given by the Eggen, Olson and Effington schools last Friday was certainly a very pleasing and successful one. The Eggen school was a little tardy, but when they did arrive they brought the goods with them. Our Civic Class is very much in terested in their work, which goes to show that young people are be coming more interested government under which they live and are anxious to find out now it works the way it does. It is the duty of every American student to know something more about their government then they can get thru actual ex perience in coming in contact with it in every day life. It is the best government in exis tence, for it gives its people all the liberties and freedom pos sible for any government to give, and still protects them against the encroachment upon these liberties by others or by the government itself. In fact peo ple are the government because they make the laws, under which they live. And if we wish to become a power in our govern ment, we must study it and get the motives which prompted our forefathers to establish it. And that together with the exper ience gained since, we should try to perfect it, for it is a com paratively new government, and is capable of great growth and improvement.
