IIe was playing with an old 22 calibre revolver when the weapon was discharged, the bullet striking him in the temple. He died a short time later. The boy and his mother and sistev at the time of the accident were plan ning to take a vacation trip to Sioux Falls. His mother had just beggeV. him to put the revolver away, as it made her nervous to see him handl ing it. when the weapon was dis charged. Many manu facturers having closed in the east has sent a supply of men into th harvest tields. So far the Farm Bu reau office has been able to fill all calls for help. The perliininary sur veys have been made and the peti tions are being circulated. If the projects go through as planned, it will be a very easy matter to drain this entire area. This part of Rob erts county when once tiled will be one of the finest agricultural sec tions in South Dakota. I.OOK OI'T roil H(K« CIIOIiKHA While hog cholera has shown up in only a few places in the county, vigilance is all that will keep it from spreading. When a pig re fuses to eat, consider be lias cholera till he proves otherwise. About 30 per cent of all hogs die of diseases, die from hog cholera. A supply of hog cholera serum is usually kept on hand at different places iu the county, at this time of the year. It can at least be ordered from Aberdeen in about twenty-four hours after the call reaches our of fice. The price of serum from dif ferent companies may vary but 2c per c. c. or about 60 c. Isn't it pret ty cheap insurance considering the price of feed and pork. Pigs of this weight can safely be given the double treatment which will im mune them for life.
