A mass meeting of the subscribers to the local Fourth of July celebration fund last night decided to proceed with the In dependence day demonstration in this city. The meeting was called to de termine what disposition should be made of the fund, some of the sub scribers desiring that the money be diverted to the Heppner people. A party of mountaineers, led by Floyd, McCoy, n msmber of the McCoy-Hatfleld 'feud ists, created a disturbance at the min ing town of Keystone, McDowell coun ty, W. Va., Sunday night Their dis orderly conduct was- resented by John Reynolds, whoreupon McCoy's crowd opened fire on Reynolds. A large crowd gathered, and the entire police force was in pursuit.
