Crim. who enlisted in the army last fall evidently finds military life quite satisfactory. In a letter to a friend in Salem he writes: "I find right here in thrj army a great many chances to do good. The army is a good place for a young man, as it teaches a fellow to act and think with prompt ness. I have gained in weight 15 pounds on this good plain wholesome food.
