HIGH SCHOOL NOTES
The high school will present the play
"Strongheart,'' in the high school audi
torium some time soon. Rehearsals are
being held every night under the direc
tion of Miss Baffin, a member of the
faculty. As the east was selected from
the entire school it gives promise of be
ing a good production.
The play is being given to raise mon-1
ey to conduct the student body activ-1
ities. The date has not been set defin

There are about five more games to
be played at home. These will be played
on the high school floor.
Salem will go to Portland next Fri
day to pla Franklin high. Salem de
feated Franklin in a previous game and
hope to take the next game also.
Class basketball tPams are now being
formed. The inter-class games will be
played in March. The team that wins
these games will put their class at the
head of the inter-class rivalry. The
juniors now lead by three points and
the seniors and sophomores are tied.
The purpose of inter-class rivalry is to
win the cup which was donated by the
1 ivies club of Salem.
The junior class will hold a party
next Friday evening. The party will
be held in the gymnasium of the high
school. Arrangements are in the bauds
of Mar.jorie Brown, Oeorg'e I)6ust. Ina
Froetor and Reed' Rowland.
