It was moved by liichards, seconded by Crown that the tax petition of Theodore Olson be granted and SIS.00 be accepted in full for his 1001 person al tax in Torey Lake township—car ried unanimously. It was moved by Manz.seconded by Crown that the tax petition of the St. .Tames Catholic church on lot 12 block 30 be granted and rebates issued—car ried unanimously. It was moved by Richards seconded by Crown that the school polls ot Peter Smith for 1SK32 and 1)0:$ tn Puk wana township be rebated on account or him not being a resident.—carried unanimously. It was moved by Crown seconded by Meiller that the county auditor be and is hereby instructed to correct the assessment of the F. O. Anderson estate and issue a refund to correct the tax.—carried unanimously. It was moved and seconded that the county board proceed to open bids for coai. —carried unanimously. It was moved by Richards secondod by Crown that the bid of F. 10. Wiess to furnish coal for the county poor farm at the following prices: Hoc-k ing Valley at $8.f»0 per ton, harn coal at $11.40 per ton, be accepted—carried unanimously. It was moved by Richards seconded by Manz that all the advertised bids for coal for the court house lie reject ed and that the bid of C. W. Stocks to furnish Hocking Valley coal at per ton be accepted, said coal to be delivered at the court house as it may lie needed.—carried unanimously. It was moved by Manz seconded by Meiller thatC. R. Townsend be grant ed a refund for $7.71 on Sd of lot 12 block 9 in Chamberlain City on ac count of a double assessment.—carried unanimously. It was moved by Manz seconded by Meiller that John Dobbins, adminis trator of the F. O. Anderson estate, be granted a refund for $2.00 on ac count of taxes erroneously paid.—ear ned unanimously. Board took a recess till Oct. f, 190-1 at 9 o'clock a. in. Board met Oct. 1904 at 9 o'clock a. in. Membeis all present except .Scales. On account of the abscncc of Chair man Scales the meeting was called to order by the county auditor. On motion Louis Richards was elected chairman pro tern. On motion the board at once pro ceeded to check the auditor's and treasurer's books. Chairman Scales arrived at 11 o'clock a. m. Board took a recess till 1 o'clock p.
